Between Vision and Vanishing: Designs That Deserved More.

At Vormstrateeg, we never fire scattershot. We always start with solid brand positioning and a clear strategy. But when it comes to execution, there’s always room to choose — because brand values can be translated visually in different ways. One direction might be bolder, another more refined.

A visual identity is like a tailored suit — it has to fit your organisation. Personal taste should never lead the way, but let’s be honest: it always plays a small part. That’s why some designs end up unused, even if we secretly love them.

Welcome to our very own Salon des Refusés!

In 1863, Paris hosted a legendary exhibition for works rejected by the official art salon: the Salon des Refusés. It became a huge success — and marked the beginning of modern art.

At Vormstrateeg, we’ve also gathered a fine collection of designs that didn’t quite make the final cut. So, we figured it’s time to open our own Salon des Refusés!

Here’s a sneak peek at a few concepts that didn’t make the final selection. Curious to see the rest? Feel free to drop by and browse the full collection. You might just uncover an unexpected gem.

“Not chosen, but still loved. Even our rejects deserve a round of applause.”
