From Living Room School to Leading Language Institute With Character
When we first met NedLes, founder Annelies Braams was teaching Dutch from her living room. During a strategic session, we challenged her to look ahead.
Her answer was clear: a dedicated location in the city, a more professional presence, and the freedom to step back from teaching full-time.

That ambition became the starting point for a visual identity built to grow with the brand. Friendly, distinctive, and with a playful nod to Dutch heritage: a palette inspired by the old red-white-blue flag, clean shapes, and typography influenced by the work of Dick Bruna. Down-to-earth, without feeling cold.
A Style That Sticks
We created a brand identity that goes beyond a logo or color scheme—it's felt in every touchpoint. Over the years, we helped build everything needed to make NedLes visible and recognizable—inside the school, around the city, and online. From learning materials to signage, from print to digital.
The in-building signage adds to the school’s warm, welcoming atmosphere. And the website has grown into the central hub for registrations, information, and sharing the NedLes story.
Did It Work?
Today, NedLes is a well-established name in Amsterdam. With a team of dozens of teachers, hundreds of students each year, and—since 2025—a new leadership team.
We wouldn’t claim the identity alone made it a success. But we do know this: sharp positioning and a cohesive visual identity can make all the difference.
